Terri Rivera

Terri Rivera

Executive Director

When Terri learned about Back on My Feet, she knew it was the perfect marriage of her passion and experience.  Terri has completed 14 sprint triathlons, the Chicago marathon and countless 5k races. Terri can often be found running and exploring in Bemis Woods with her triathlete friends and her family.

"I know what the power of running has done for my life, and the friendships it has brought, and I want to share that with others. It is my passion to connect people who care, with a cause that matters and Back on My Feet is the perfect vehicle. Partnering with Back on My Feet-whether as a sponsor, volunteer or FundRacer-can change someone's life and literally get them back on their feet. And it just might change your life in the process too!"

Prior to joining Back on My Feet Chicago, Terri was a Director of Development for a free health clinic where she excelled in relationship management, sponsorships and special events including producing two races and working closely with the running community. She received her Masters of Non Profit Administration from North Park University in May 2010.

Meredith Weber

Meredith Weber

Senior Development and Marketing Director

Homelessness is a cause that Meredith has been connected to since she was a child, donating the money from her yard sales to a local shelter in New York. A relatively new runner in the last three years, running has become an important part of her life.

“I have experienced the power and motivation gained through running and I am thrilled to work for an organization that shares this gift with individuals experiencing homelessness.”

Before joining Back on My Feet Chicago, Meredith was the development manager at Starlight Children's Foundation Midwest for six years. In December of 2010 Meredith received her Master's in Sports Administration with a specialization in Marketing and PR from Northwestern University.

Nina Castillo

Nina Castillo

Program Director

Nina first joined Back on My Feet as a volunteer in 2013 while working on her undergraduate degree and taking a course that required her to undertake a service learning project. After her first run with team Uptown she knew that she would belong to the Back on My Feet family for much longer than her class required. After six months of running with BoMF, Nina became the Uptown team leader and has continued to be a core volunteer since then. Back on My Feet is so close to Nina’s heart as it is the perfect coupling of her greatest passions - running and serving Chicago’s most marginalized. She admires the innovative and interesting way BoMF makes social change through running.

“Running has brought me more than just greater physical health; it has brought me confidence, a healthier mind, and a healthier outlook on life. Running reminds me that I am limitless and I believe that sharing my love for running can help to spread that feeling and empower others in a way that will help them make lasting change in their lives”

Prior to working for Back on My Feet, Nina worked as a full-time nanny and care-provider for children with special needs. In her spare time Nina loves to run throughout the city, ride her bike, play with her dog Churro, and spend time with her very big family. Nina holds a BA in sociology from Northeastern Illinois University.

Carly McCabe

Carly McCabe

Program Associate

Carly has been involved in volunteering for years and got into coaching soccer in college, so she is super passionate about both sports and service! She is very excited to experience an organization that uses sports as a vehicle for personal transformation.

She had a great experience playing soccer in college and thinks team sports can be very formative and important for personal growth, as well as being a great way to make friends and have fun! She is so excited to be part of a new team that supports and encourages each other to become the best versions of themselves.

Carly majored in History with a concentration in Peace and Conflict studies, and is interested in pursuing work with “sport for social change” type nonprofits. She has never lived in Chicago before, although has visited before and is really excited to be back!

"I've always appreciated having a team to lean on for support and encouragement, and I can't wait to start forming relationships with the BoMF family!"
