Bryan Proctor, Partner, Heidrick & Struggles
Chair of Back on My Feet Chicago’s Advisory Board
Bryan Proctor is a partner in the Chicago office of Heidrick & Struggles and a member of the Private Equity, Industrial, and Financial Officers practices. Bryan began his career with Heidrick & Struggles in New York City in 2000 before transitioning to the firm’s Chicago office in 2007, where he continues to build his global client base. Bryan advises clients on leadership assessment and executive search across multiple industries, including power and utility, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing and services and consumer durables. He has worked with a diverse client base, including Fortune 500, small- and medium-sized public and private companies, as well as private equity firms.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Bryan was an associate at an international executive search firm in New York City. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
Brian Caracciolo, CPA, Chief Accounting Officer, Hub International Limited
Brian Caracciolo is the chief accounting officer of Hub International Limited, a leading North American insurance brokerage.
Prior to joining Hub International in 2010, Brian was a senior manager in the Chicago office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. Brian is also a certified public accountant (CPA).
Patrick Coyne, Global Director of Facilities & Services, Accenture
Patrick Coyne is the global director of Facilities & Services at Accenture, responsible for leading an organization of approximately 2,500 professionals who deliver services in facilities management, executive support services, office services, real estate, travel and workplace research/development. Patrick began his career with Accenture in 1990 as the director of operations for the St. Charles training center and has held a variety of local and regional F&S roles, including his most recent role as United States F&S Lead and Global Delivery Network Customer Relationship Management Lead.
Patrick began his facilities management career at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., which is the only accredited university for the hearing impaired. Patrick earned an accounting degree from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
“My passion for running and charitable work made joining the Back on My Feet board a natural fit,” said Patrick. “It was an opportunity to become personally involved in providing an active outlet to help people find hope, motivation and inspiration. It’s great to witness the success of the individuals as they set and realize their goals.”
Hugh Flannery, Executive Director, Morgan Stanley
Hugh Flannery is executive director at Morgan Stanley and manages the North American Sales and Trading division for listed derivatives and oversees the Chicago Futures/Options exchange operations. Hugh has been with Morgan Stanley for more than 25 years and is a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Board of Options Exchange.
Hugh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
“As a regular early-morning runner, I have observed many homeless people seemingly without hope,” said Hugh. “I am reluctant to give money to individuals on the street because I'm fearful it will be spent on drugs and alcohol; at the same time, I don’t feel right ignoring the problem. Back on My Feet provides individuals experiencing homelessness with hope and direction, so I want to do what I can to help support the program.”
Jason Gumbs, Senior Director, Product Sales, Greater Chicago Region, Comcast Cable
Jason Gumbs is the senior director of Product Sales in the Greater Chicago Region of Comcast Cable. Jason began his career with Comcast in 2002 as director of Sales and Marketing. Jason leads retail and residential teams to sell Video, Voice and Data services to consumers. Prior to becoming the senior director of sales, Jason was an area vice president where he oversaw 1000 employees and customer operations in Chicago’s western suburbs.
Prior to joining Comcast, Jason was director of Marketing and Sales at AT&T. Jason earned his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
Eric Sacks, Partner, Jenner & Block LLP
Eric Sacks is a litigation partner in the law firm of Jenner & Block LLP, where he serves as the Chair of the firm’s Technology Litigation Practice Group. Eric graduated from Carleton College in 1989 and Harvard Law School in 1992. After working two years as a judicial law clerk, Eric joined Jenner & Block in 1994. Eric has engaged in numerous civic activities, including being named a fellow of the 2010 class of Leadership Greater Chicago.
Eric has run seven marathons, including the Chicago, New York, and Boston Marathons. Eric has served as a marathon training group leader, helping dozens of marathon runners cross the finish line.
“After pushing myself to complete my first marathon in 2001, I learned that running was a terrific path to personal satisfaction and confidence. When I heard Anne Mahlum speak about how she and Back on My Feet were helping people experiencing homelessness through running, I wanted to help.”
Kristen N. Stampe, Area Director of Finance, Marriott, The America's, Western Region
Kristen Stampe is an area director of Finance for the Western Region of Marriott International, the America's Division. Kristen joined Marriott International 17 years ago as assistant controller at the JW Marriott in Century City, Los Angeles. She has held several roles with the company since that time.
Kristen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Arizona State University and an Executive Master’s of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California.
“I moved to Chicago in July 2010 and wanted to get involved in the community,” said Kristen. “Recently, I picked up running as a form of exercise and a hobby. I’ve found the perfect fit with the Back on My Feet organization.”
